Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who can participate?

This organization is for people actively working on solving the loneliness epidemic.

  • Researchers studying solutions and interventions (within the prior 3 years)
  • People implementing or testing real-world programs at any scale
  • Organizations operating loneliness programs (must assign individual representative)
  • Funders of programs, experiments, or research

We support the organizations that support people directly.

  • We are not a social services organization that provides direct help to individuals impacted by loneliness.
  • We are not a public resource serving people interested in learning about the topic.

2. Why not do primary research on the problem?

There is a large body of excellent research on the topic, with more in progress. Other organizations are currently filling this need. The research community is well-served.

Our contribution is at the implementation level – discovering how to use those insights and apply them to real-world solutions that serve the maximum number of people.

We’re here to support problem-solvers dealing with challenges of in-the-field implementation at large scale.
